Magic Card Tricks with Aces

A Magic Trick with Cards and A Technique.

THE ACES FLY

This is a classic magic card trick with the 4 aces.

Presentation:

The magician has 4 rows of 4 cards.
One of the rows has the 4 aces.
With the cards face down, the magician removes two rows, leaving the row with the aces and a different row on table.
The magician moves one ace from its row to the other row.
Then with magic, one by one the remaining aces pass to the other row.

Secret:

Take the four aces and 12 different cards.
Take 3 of the 12 cards and an ACE, putting them face up on the table: put one card on the top of the other so the numbers still show, with the Ace last.
Do the same with the other cards: three cards face up on the table, followed by the Ace, until you have four rows.

Now take each row and put one over the other from the left to the right.

Leave all the stacks in your left hand face down in the basic position.
Take the cards from the top and put them on the table.
Only 4 from the left to the right: 1 - 2 - 3 and ACE, the same time that you say: 1, 2, 3 and… ACE.

You can see that all the cards are face down and you need to turn them face up.
So you take the next card from the top of the deck that you have in your hand, and this card will help you to turn the other cards face up one by one by scooping them up on the right side. FROM THE LEFT TO THE RIGHT. Say: “This is the first card, this is the second card, this is the third card and this is the ACE.”
You need to do this because the public will remember it, and it’s part of the trick.

When you finish this, look at the public and explain that magic is simple and fantastic!

Misdirection:

NOBODY SHOULD SEE THIS: At the same time, put back the card that you used before, to turn the cards, but put it under the stack.
So you need to talk with them while you do it.

Now everything is ready to continue, so you say, “I need to continue, so remember that I put the first card, a second card, a third card and… ACE.”
At this moment, you are taking the first card from the top and putting it on the first card on the table; the same with the second; the third; and the Ace.

At the end, there are 4 rows with 4 cards each.
Only the first cards are face up showing what the card is.

Someone needs to choose one set, but not the set with the Aces.
Really the fourth row does not have any more aces, although people will think that there are Aces, but they are in the third row (it happened when you put the card back under the stack).
So everything is ready. When the spectator chooses one row, (not with the “ACES”) three different things will happen:

CONTROLING THE CHOOSE: The force technique.

A. If the spectator chooses packet number 3, you take the first and second packets away and only leave on the table the third and fourth (“ACES”).
Take the Ace in the fourth packet and exchange it with the card that is face up in the third packet.
Explain that the Aces follow themselves.
If you move one, other Aces will fly after it magically.
Turn over the cards of the fourth row, and show that the aces have disappeared… Turn over the third row, and show all the Aces there. It is magic!
In photo, the arrows show you which stacks to take away, if the spectator chooses the third packet, and which packet has the remaining Aces.

B. Maybe the spectator will choose the second packet.
If so, take it away and put your hand on the first and third stack.
Ask him, “Which hand do you want, right or left?” If he says right, raise this hand and take away the first stack with the left. So you have on the table, again, the third stack. But if he says left, raise your right hand and take away the first packet again.
The white arrow shows which stack the spectator chose.
You removed both packets with arrows.
The packet with the “X” has the remaining Aces.

C. But if he chooses the first stack, remove this stack and leave the second, third, and fourth stacks on the table.
Put your hands on the stacks and ask, “Which hand do you want, right or left?” If he says right, raise the hand and take away the first packet, but if he says left, raise the right hand and take out the first stack.
